 Job Description

 

As part of our project management team representing our client, you will be involved in the management and development of the future Terminal 5 building and its associated facilities. You will be based at the Changi East Project Office, the site of the future Terminal 5 building.

 

You will be responsible for the development of the Master Schedule, specific detailed schedules, cost/resource plan, and preparation of relevant materials for presentation. In the process, you will collect and record data for performance measurement, analyse critical paths and monitor the progress of works against plan and prepare data for the progress reports to the management. You will be required to identify and track changes to the project scope and ensure that the estimates of cost changes and schedule impact are given visibility to the project management team.

 

When required, you will need to participate in the tender review process, which will include providing an evaluation of the tenderers’ time schedule. Upon the award of contracts, apart from advising the contractors in the development of the contractor’s schedules and the contractors’ allocation of resources, you will also be required to monitor and review contractors’ construction schedules, submittals, material delivery, procurement logs, and daily follow-up, in addition to the necessary productivity measurement studies and associated corrective measures. You will also assist the team in reviewing and providing recommendations related to the contractor’s extension of time claims (where applicable).

 

Requirements

  • Good degree in Engineering or related fields.
  • At least 8 years of experience in the development of project schedules for every phase of the construction project lifespan by using Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft.
  • Strong experience in coordinating with design teams and contractors, particularly in large and complex Transport/Healthcare/ Commercial/ Contract terms-related projects.
  • Self-motivated, driven, and possess good analytical/problem-solving skills.
  • Able to work independently, a strong team player, and handle fast-paced projects.
  • Good interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills for collaboration with stakeholders across all levels.
  • Strong negotiation and conflict management skills.

 

This position is a 3-year contract with the possibility of renewal.
