Title: Senior Associate, Electrical Systems
Changi Airport operates 24/7, playing a critical role in serving millions of passengers and connecting international flights. A critical system of airport operations is the Airfield Lighting System, which ensures the safe navigation of aircraft during landing, take-off, and taxiing. Maintaining this system’s operational readiness is important to ensure safety and seamless operations at one of the world's busiest airports. As part of the Changi Airport Group Engineering & Development Team, you will be responsible for ensuring the continuous operation, maintenance and improvement of airfield lighting system. Your work will directly impact the efficiency and safety of airport operations. You will also be actively involved in digitalization initiatives, aiming to streamline processes, improve system performance, and enhance operational efficiency using the latest technologies. You will work closely with contractors, suppliers, and various stakeholders, ensuring adherence to operational standards, safety regulations, and contract terms.
Key Responsibilities (Operations & Maintenance):
- Manage the daily upkeep and servicing of the airfield lighting system to ensure high availability and performance.
- Diagnose and resolve system faults with minimal operational disruption.
- Ensure full compliance with local regulations and international aviation and electrical standards.
- Drive digital transformation in maintenance operations through automation tools and smart technologies.
- Analyse performance data to improve system efficiency and implement predictive maintenance strategies.
- Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and vendors to track and manage project timelines and deliverables.
- Facilitate clear and effective communication across internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of maintenance activities and system performance.
- Uphold strict safety and quality standards during on-site operations.
- Conduct and review regular risk assessments to proactively manage safety hazards.
- Ensure documentation adheres to internal policies and industry best practices.
Requirements:
- Degree in Electrical Engineering
- 1–2 years of direct experience. Candidates with no work experience are welcome to apply
- Understanding of electrical engineering principles, codes, and safety standards
- Interest in automation technologies and digital tools
- Positive work attitude and enthusiasm for field-based tasks
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective written, verbal, and presentation communication skills
- Able to lead initiatives and work both independently and collaboratively
- Equipped with Basic Auto-Cad Drawing and Office 365 knowledge
