Description: 

Client’s advisor on a major airport development project. He will ensure that the client’s objectives for safety, efficiency, sustainability, and value for money are achieved across all phases of planning, design, procurement, and construction. Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with business needs.

Manage procurement of consultants and contractors and drive the project design and execution stages. Responsible for technical oversight, and governance support throughout the project lifecycle. Guide the consultants and contractor on airport operational requirement and safe management of construction work within terminal/ airport environment.

 

Key responsibilities: 

 

  • Manage all electrical and IT infrastructure design and infrastructure works with stakeholders and ensure coordination with all trades, timely power infrastructure provision, testing, and readiness for operation across various areas within Terminal building.

  • Manage all related diversion works and engagement with stakeholders for power shutdown/ modification and termination works, including publication of notice and circulation to airport community.

  • Review MOS for every scheduled shutdown to ensure safety aspects are addressed and a competent person is present during the work.

  • Verify final circuitry with the incumbent to minimize disruption in later operational phases.

    Completion of Integrated Test of Fire Protection System - Collaborate with the mechanical team to conduct testing to verify the fire protection system and its associated field device responses to approved scenarios, ensuring communication is tied back to the main Building Terminal Monitoring System.

  • Support the Project Director in advising the client on all aspects of the airport project lifecycle.

  • Coordinate day-to-day activities related to project planning, procurement, design management, and delivery oversight.
  • Review consultant and contractor deliverables to ensure alignment with client expectations and project requirements.
  • Assist in managing project governance, risk management, change control, and reporting processes.
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues and maintain momentum.
  • Monitor schedule, cost, and quality metrics, escalating issues as needed.
  • Contribute to procurement strategy development and contract administration processes.
  • Help integrate operational requirements and sustainability goals into the design and construction phases.
  • Support the preparation of reports, presentations, and briefings for senior client leadership.

 

Requirements:

• Good team player, self-motivated with strong ability to multi-task and able to handle fast-paced projects.

• Innovative, creative and with good analytical thinking ability, qualitative/ quantitative and problem-solving skills.

• Good degree in Engineering/ Architecture/ Building Services.

• Familiarity with project management of phased construction and addition and alteration works within live operation will be assessed favourably.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Familiar with ISO9001 and ISO14000
