Title: Manager, Building Systems (Mechanical)
As part of the engineering building systems team, you will be responsible for the good maintenance of Mechanical Systems such as air-conditioning system which include chiller plants, air handling units/stations, fan coil units, mechanical ventilation system, engineering smoke control, sprinkler system, total gas flooding system, water monitors, water reticulation system, Lifts/Escalators/Travellators and Pneumatic Waste Conveyance System.
You will also be involved in the innovative efforts to improve equipment performance and productivity of work processes. Some of the innovative work would include establishing digitalisation roadmap, partnership agreements with innovative solution providers, trial and implement wireless Internet of Thing (IOT) platform to support sensorisation and digital twining of M&E systems, implement energy savings trial and scale up if return of investment make business sense.
Improvement of the resiliency of key mechanical systems is a key part of the work scope. This is to safeguard operations in Changi as passengers’ flow increases and the existing equipment ages. Your ability to bring in innovative solutions to provide better oversight, predict failures in advance and improve resiliency and robustness of existing system is hence crucial to help CAG achieve the highest availability uptime and minimum downtime to serve our customers better.
Job responsibilities:
· Manage Mechanical & Electrical Operations and Maintenance Contracts
· Manage and carry out end-of -life projects in Singapore Changi Airport and implement improvement/replacement works to enhance the facilities within the airport including coming up with cost estimates, tender preparation and calling, evaluation and award and project management.
· Collaborate with various stakeholders and airport partners to manage the work processes and minimise impact to airport/terminals operations.
· Work with stakeholders to review existing work procedures, processes and suggest enhancements and improvements.
· Conduct studies with innovative solution provider/s, trial and implement innovative solutions.
· Study and develop predictive maintenance regime and condition monitoring of equipment to increase efficiency and productivity.
· Collaborate and constantly be on the lookout and work with local academia/companies for new technologies/material to further improve/enhance the maintenance processes.
· Participate in the digitisation/ innovation and Reliability Centered Maintenance Analysis and initiatives.
· Ensure adherence to quality standards, health & safety and statutory regulations, as well as to have aptitude in undertaking administrative tasks such as reporting, procurement processing (e.g. preparation of tender documents), budgeting, etc.
· Carry out energy savings implementation to operations of equipment in line with company’s sustainability targets and goals.
· Assist in tenancy related works which have complex M&E requirements.
· Support in audits for system under your charge not limited to ISO audits, internal audits and CAAS audits.
Job requirements:
· Degree in Mechanical Engineering
· At least 8 years of related Air-conditioning & Mechanical Ventilation or Mechanical system.
· Knowledge of M&E maintenance practices and efficiency standards
· Analytical with strong problem solving, communication and interpersonal skills
· Able to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with high motivation for work excellence.
· Able to interpret technical drawings
· Knowledge of IT network and Power BI would be an advantage
Due to the specialised nature of the roles and training investment in AES officers and Airside Professional Shift Team (APST) as well as the project development nature of Changi East Development Cluster, any cross-cluster applications that could result in CAG bearing additional cost due to such rotations will be deliberated and considered on a case-by-case basis.
