As part of CAG’s dream to innovate and grow our business, CAG has various startups and new business initiatives (including our existing e-Commerce business, iShopChangi (iSC)) to deliver the next-generation customer experience and grow both our traditional and new revenues.

 

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Finance professional who desires to play a pivotal role in driving the initial set-up and operationalising the finance function for the various new business initiatives and managing and optimising the finance process for our existing business including iSC. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • You will work closely with the business team, Finance Business Partner team and the Finance team to be the main driver in ensuring that CAG finance policies, standard operating procedures and compliance considerations are taken into account for new initiatives or changes to processes for existing business
  • Drive the initial set-up phases of the finance operations for new business initiatives, including designing and establishing new finops processes and internal controls
  • Continuously review and streamline new and existing B2C and B2B processes after consultation with relevant stakeholders
  • Ensure the efficient execution of various finance tasks, e.g. payments, billings, journal postings, reconciliations, etc., related to e-Commerce business, iSC and other new ventures
  • Oversee month-end and year-end closing activities, check and post journal entries, ensure all costs incurred and revenue earned are properly accrued and accounted for
  • Reconcile any differences between the systems and our payment gateways
  • Ensure accurate payments and/or fees are in accordance with contractual payment terms and finance policies, procedures and controls

 

Requirement and Qualifications:

  • Degree in Accountancy (or equivalent), with 5 to 8 years of experience, and at least 3 years of relevant working experience in a large organization and/or across multiple finance operations roles, preferably in e-Commerce business
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with tools such as Power Query, Power Pivot, and Power BI. Experience with SAP is an added advantage
  • Self-driven, comfortable with ambiguity, and a resourceful team player with a hands-on approach to problem-solving
  • Strong business-partnering skills, a collaborative mindset, and excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Highly responsible, detail-oriented, analytical, self-motivated, and well-organized
  • A positive "can-do" attitude, with the ability to multitask, adapt to a fast-paced environment, and work independently while remaining resilient
