Title: Data Scientist (Marketing)
Enterprise Data Science Management (EDSM) team is seeking an experienced Data Scientist (Marketing) to join our Data Science team. Individuals in this role are expected to be comfortable working as an AI/ML practitioner and a quantitative researcher. The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in the study of customer buying behavior, and a passion for identifying and answering questions that help us identify and fulfill the latent needs of the customer.
Your main focus:
Predictive Analytics
- Able to lead modelling and predictive analysis using ML, AI, Graph and GenAI to drive short and long-term guidance for retail innovation and product pricing, etc.
- Exploring opportunities to use all available data sources (including digital analytics) to enable the development of brands, products, categories within the varying path to purchase and hence gain in market share.
- Responsible for spearheading marketing innovations, identify and utilise Predictive Analytics and AI generated tools.
Impacting Business Strategy
- Partnering with business team/ senior leaders to make sure analytics is well designed to address particular business questions and learning is landed into strategy / action plan.
- Providing insight and recommendations for actions based on data and analysis to enable enhanced decision making within the rest of the business i.e. overall performance, drivers, etc. and provide ad hoc support to the management.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with EDSM team to identify and provide insights for important Customer Intelligence questions
- Solve commercial problems with AI to deliver social and economic value
- Develop, validate and deliver algorithms, statistical models and analytical insights to achieve business goals
- Analyze and interpret the results of marketing/Ops campaigns and/or experiments and recommend enhancements for future campaigns
- Establish scalable, efficient, automated processes for large scale data analysis, model development, model validation, model implementation and model ops.
- Develop go-to-market implementations and connect strategy to execution around data infrastructure, AI operating models and GenAI-enabled transformation.
- Create a culture of excellence and lead with confidence, charisma, context, and humility working effectively at all levels
- Provide thought-leadership and establish best practices for instrumentation and experimentation and communicate those to EDSM and other Data Science/Analytics teams.
Requirements
- M.S. or Ph.D. in a relevant technical field with 4 years’ experience in a relevant role
- Exceptional interest in AI engineering, machine learning and data science
- Strong understanding of marketplace for AI services with ability to develop go-to-market plans with marketing teams
- A strong passion for empirical research and for answering hard questions with data
- Ability to communicate complex quantitative analysis in a clear, precise, and actionable manner
- Practical hands-on experience with a broad range of tools to assist in AI development: Jupyter, LLMs, PyTorch, Tensorfllow, AWS Sagemaker, Google Vertex AI, Azure ML, etc
- Strong track record of leading delivery of AI solutions through incubation, proof-of-concept, to large-scale real-time deployment
