We are seeking a dynamic individual to help maintain a safe, efficient, and well-regulated operating environment at one of the world’s leading airports. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in developing, implementing, and reviewing policies, ensuring compliance with aerodrome safety requirements, and supporting the continuous improvement of operational processes. 

 

Core responsibilties:

  • Airside Driving & Licensing Management:
  • Develop, review, and enhance policies, procedures, and safety requirements governing airside driving and vehicle licensing.
  • Collaborate closely with airport partners to ensure robust implementation and adherence to airside licensing standards.
  • Support and drive initiatives that promote regulatory compliance and foster a strong safety culture among airside users.

 

1. Airside Driving & Licensing Management

  • Develop, review, and enhance policies, procedures, and safety requirements governing airside driving and vehicle licensing.
  • Collaborate with airport partners to ensure effective implementation and adherence to airside licensing standards.
  • Support initiatives to strengthen regulatory compliance and safety culture among airside users.

 

2. Airside Works Management

  • Engage regularly with project management teams to assess project implementation plans for compliance with aerodrome safety requirements.
  • Evaluate potential operational impacts and work with stakeholders to minimise disruptions to aircraft operations.
  • Formulate and update policies governing airside construction and maintenance activities.

 

3. Safety Assurance & Incident Management

  • Conduct incident investigations related to airside driving, vehicle operations, and airside works.
  • Identify root causes, recommend corrective actions, and follow through on improvement measures to prevent recurrence.
  • Drive safety enhancement projects and process improvements to achieve high standards of operational excellence.

 

4. Surveillance, Inspection & Compliance Monitoring

  • Improve and implement inspection regimes for airside roadways, and construction sites.
  • Conduct on‑ground surveillance checks to ensure safe airside roadways and  compliance with safety procedures and permit conditions.
  • Highlight non‑compliances and work with stakeholders to address gaps promptly.

 

Requirements:

  • Good degree in any discipline, preferably with a passion for the in aviation industry.
  • Able to work both independently and with a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong collaborative, good communication, written and presentation skills.
  • Experience and knowledge in aviation safety or workplace safety would be advantageous
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills with an ability to relate to all levels and different stakeholders.
