Title: Assistant Manager / Manager, Financial Reporting
As a key member of the Financial Reporting team, you will play an important role in ensuring the integrity, accuracy and timeliness of the Company and Group financial statements. You will prepare financial and management reports and manage the annual statutory audit and prepare annual reports. In your role, you will liaise with auditors, assess audit observations, and follow through on implementation of recommendations as well as keep abreast of financial reporting standards, interpret, and implement changes to ensure compliance. In addition, you will develop and deliver analytics reporting and dashboards to provide focused insights on financial performance. As part of development and growth, you may be rotated to various functions and/or CAG Group of subsidiaries.
Responsibilities:
- Preparation of accounting entries, review of accounting schedules, resolution of ad-hoc financial reporting queries and issues, variance analysis and ensuring that reporting timelines are met
- Responsible for providing sound technical accounting advice and will participate actively as a technical accounting expert in various projects and be able to take charge of rolling out of new FRSs as and when required
- Liaise closely with subsidiaries' finance teams and provide guidance on accounting standard interpretation to ensure timely and accurate preparation and submission of group financial and management reports
- Analyse and provide insights on the financial performance of the company and the Group
- Coordinate and effectively deal with internal and external auditors for annual statutory/regulatory audits
- Participate in automation and process improvements in the area of financial reporting as well as records-to-report transformation
- Participate in any new implementation projects which may include financial modelling
- Undertake special assignments, ad-hoc functions and related duties as and when required
Requirements:
- Degree in Accountancy or an equivalent professional qualification
- CPA or Chartered Accountant with minimum 6-8 years of accounting experience (a blend of in-house and public accounting experience at Big 4 firms would be advantageous)
- Good analysis skills with strong knowledge of consolidation reporting
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, able to work with stakeholders across different divisions and subsidiaries
- Detail-oriented, hands-on, resourceful and independent
- Enjoys working in a fast-paced environment
- Able to manage multiple priorities and work under tight timelines
- Possess strong leadership & problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of SAP, Tableau, RPA, Microsoft Suite of power tools would be a plus
